Austria Embassy in Malaysia

The Austrian Embassy in Malaysia is located in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

Austrian nationals in Malaysia in need of assistance from their home country can get the help they require from the Embassy. For example, if they require a new passport to return home, the Austrian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur can provide one.

There are Austrian Consulates in both Penang and Tawau.

Consulates do not provide the same range of functions and services as embassies and may not be able to issue Austrian visas. However, they can provide assistance and information about applying for visas, renewing passports, visiting Austria, and a variety of other things.

Consulate of Austria in Penang

The Austrian Honorary Consulate in Penang is one of the country’s diplomatic missions in Malaysia. It provides a number of consular services to Austrian nationals in north-west Peninsular Malaysia. It also provides information and assistance to Malaysian citizens and other foreign nationals who wish to visit Austria. The Head of the Mission is currently the Honorary Consul, Mr Berthold Jungwirth. Consulate of Austria in Tawau

The Austrian Honorary Consulate in Tawau is located in the state of Sabah on the island of Borneo. It is the country’s only diplomatic mission in Malaysian Borneo (both the Embassy and the other Consulate are located on Peninsular Malaysia). This Austrian Consulate provides consular services to Austrian nationals in the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak and offers assistance and information to foreign nationals in these regions who plan to visit Austria. The current Head of the Mission is Honorary Consul Gerhard Reichart. For more information about visas, passports, or any other consular matter, please contact the Consulate directly.
