Austrian Embassy in Thailand

Austria has an embassy and four consulates in Thailand, offering support with inquiries regarding travel requirements and other useful information. The embassy is in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok and serves also the neighboring countries of Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.

Thai citizens looking to travel to Austria need to apply for a Schengen Visa, same as for any other country in the Schengen Area.

A Schengen Visa can only be requested in person at an embassy or another Austrian representation. The application process includes providing all the necessary documents and attending an interview at the embassy or consulate.

As this process can take some time, travelers are advised to request their visa in advance. It is possible to request a visa already three months prior to the date of arrival in Austria and up to three weeks before.
